The new demo is very different from the one before. The inside of the house is much different and the garden has small details that changed (and added). We get to see Nikanor's mom, learn about his dad and the book. The pixel art has really improved too. Playing the new demo was a great experience. I only wish it wasn't all black'n white.
Thank you for the feedback! To be honest, the first demo got bad reception so I changed and added a lot of things. I'm happy how it turned out, so I'm really glad that you like it ^^ ....And who knows? Maybe you'll see more color later in the full game!
I like what I saw during the demo. The mystery of Nikanor's house, the horse thing and characters have me interested. I will definitely keep an eye on this one.
Whens the full game gonna come out? because I flipppen loved the demo of the game and I wish to support it, but sadly, I do not do patreon. But I still support the game and creator no matter what! So please, can you come out with a early accses game please :D
A bit late, but the full game is supposed to come in May of next year. Unfortunately I don't have Patreon yet....but still, I am really glad that you enjoyed the demo!
I played your new demo (also the old one) and enjoyed it a lot!
Graphically it looks fantastic! Your art is really pleasing, I love the designs of the characters, especially the wolf! Facial expressions are really good! Very small nitpick, the necks in the portraits are a little too straight/small, but it doesn’t stick out a lot (I don’t want to sound rude, it’s something I noticed when I used to draw characters-I’m not an artist by any means!) The tile sets used and mapping look great, very pleasing and atmospheric. Nice CGs too. Title screen looks amazing. Character sprites are cute, Azem is very talented in that regard (they also did sprites for Lydia’s games did they not?)
I love the music used in the mines, still stuck in my head. Kudos to the composer!
Gameplay wise, very solid! Difficulty is just about right I’d say. Interacting with environment is well done, optional dialogue and lore is always nice (stuff like the mine family history, the mole holes appearing and trying to use the axe on the iron door). Using objects on others, as expected from RPG maker horror, is done well. I will admit I did struggle with the one candle puzzle even after reading the book, but I eventually figured it out via trial and error. The first chase sequence requires some fast reaction, but the difficulty isn’t too hard or anything. I like the axe mechanic. Hope to see some more stuff like this, hopefully some harder puzzles.
A few very minor glitches (me game breaking and exploring too much as usual) you can use the axe on the door in the mine even after you’ve already done so. Examining a candle in the tavern and then again quickly can cause the game to crash with an RGS33 has stopped working message (I assume this is a script error, it probably only happened because I was skipping through the text during that puzzle). I had a similar crash earlier on, not sure why. Encountering these glitches are very unlikely and don’t break the game or anything, it was tested very thoroughly and works smoothly!
As someone has said on your blog, the ending was a great cliffhanger, after finishing I wanted to play more, so that’s a good sign! It reminds me in a good way of some other RPG horrors I’ve played/seen recently, in terms of graphics and gameplay such as Midnight Train and the Mad Father remake. I look forward to the full game!
Well, in fact I did not do the sprites of Lydia, though! I used to take them as reference but now I look forward to create my own styles. Anyway thanks for liking my sprites. ^^
I agree with you though. Claroscuro is a such a master piece, and I cannot wait to play the full one!
i played through the demo, ive also uploaded a video for it, i hope my stupid friends can pay it a visit, thanks for brightening my 1 hour of free time
About that, the music was made by my composer, DrWatson. The game over theme is a free resource though! And no, never heard about Sightless before. Why?
This is definitely going onto my 'keep an eye out' list. Demo is great and even left me wanting to know more. I just ask for an options menu with the standard volume/key rebind in it. Otherwise, great demo.
I recommend this to all RPG MAKER lovers. It's a good demo and I'm sure that the full game will be so good that the word "good" isn't enough for it. Good job Ximsol182.

Ah, if you're referring to the iron door in the mine....that's for the full game, I'm afraid. The axe thing was an easter egg though ^^;
Still, I am really glad that you enjoyed it so far!

Can i please ask you, how are musics made?
and also are you inspired by Sightless?
About that, the music was made by my composer, DrWatson. The game over theme is a free resource though! And no, never heard about Sightless before. Why?
thank you
and also, because it looks so familiar, thats all
Very beautiful game with a lot of potential! Everything is good from the writing to the music. Definitely do not miss out on this one.
Here's some proof below :P
Glad you liked it and thanks for the video! I'll do my best so the full game will be up to your expectations!
This is definitely going onto my 'keep an eye out' list. Demo is great and even left me wanting to know more. I just ask for an options menu with the standard volume/key rebind in it. Otherwise, great demo.
Here's my channel for other games I play. http://www.youtube.com/c/Levont
Thanks for your interest! And about the menu....it's supposed to be very simplistic and all!
I recommend this to all RPG MAKER lovers. It's a good demo and I'm sure that the full game will be so good that the word "good" isn't enough for it. Good job Ximsol182.
Geez Azem.....it's just a demo for now ^^;
